Sappy vulnerable post✨✨ Today marks 13 years since the day that reshaped my understanding of life. 🫶🏻 I was watching tv and then all of a sudden I was in the worst pain I had ever experienced. I went to the ER, they told me I was pregnant and just had gas. LOL I went home and the pain got worse until I just realized… Something is wrong and I’m dying. I was rushed to the ER, again, where 20 minutes later I became unresponsive in the waiting room. I remember going blind, calling for my mother, and then my hearing started to fade. All that was left were shades of gray and my thoughts. The pain had gone away and I felt a wave of sadness come over me. I thought about my family, and hoped they would be okay. Then it was pure peace. I wasn’t sad. I wasn’t anything. It was a moment where I thought I might be saying goodbye to everything. But, as you can see, that goodbye wasn't final. I'm here, and that experience has instilled in me a profound sense of gratitude for every day I've been given since. It's a stark reminder that life is fragile and waking up is an incredible gift that each new day presents. I had an ectopic pregnancy that went undiagnosed. I lost nearly 5 pints of blood internally, which led to two blood transfusions, emergency surgery, and a critical moment that required defibrillation to save my life. I wanted to share this with you as a moment of reflection and thankfulness. Our time is precious, and this experience has taught me to cherish it even more.
